A Random Post

I first have to start out saying that I think my baby is the cutest in the world. Yes this picture was taken very early in the morning when I could have been sleeping, but she is worth being awake for. Roy got this idea that we could save some money by giving Molly a haircut by ourselves instead of paying $40+ for one by a professional. I have to say during the whole process I was willing to pay $100 dollars for a haircut. But all said and done, she doesn't look that bad... I guess I am happy we still have the extra $40. I heard once that the difference between a good hair cut and a bad one is a week. So Molly sorry if you hate it just wait a little bit!

Oh also since I am a stay at home mom for now I am trying to be a little more productive than just sitting on the couch perusing the Internet while Ellie sleeps. I have decided to clean out one cupboard in the kitchen a day. (obviously I do more than this around the house.) My most recent tackle was the pantry. I wish I would have taken a before picture. Just imagine it so full you could not even tell what there was in there to eat. I threw out a lot of expired food... Now we can see what we have and hopefully we will eat it before it goes yucky.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to both Dads in my life.

My dad is amazing. He has done so much for me and my family. My favorite thing is how positive he always is! Thanks for being such a good Dad from so far away. Thanks for listening to me stress out over the phone and always wondering how we are doing out here in Vegas. He is such a fun dad and I love him so much!

Me and "Frankindad"

The newest dad in my life is my little girl's dad. So far he is doing a great job. He really stepped it up when she was born and helped out a whole lot. He loves to come home from work and hold her. He is always pulling faces at her and making her smile. When Ellie is upset he will play the guitar for her and it quiets her down immediately. When I was pregnant, Roy would play and she would move around a whole lot.

Roy did get a Father's Day gift this year. He is impossible to surprise so he found it a week early. He got a new putter. Yes this is putter #44 for him. Hopefully his last. He also got a golf theme Father's Day card. You have to understand golf to get it... Roy loved it!

Roy is enjoying a round of golf today in remembrance of his Dad. We love him and miss his dad lots.

How Much is that Doggie in the Window?

Since we have lived in this apartment this window has been known as "Molly's Window". This is where she spends a good portion of the day. She barks at anything I mean everything that could possible come near our place. She is our guard dog... This is where she lined up her stuffed animals so they could look out the window with her. Shortly after that we got Macie because we decided she needed a friend. Lately I have noticed her at the window behind the blinds in the afternoon. She loves to lay in the sun and since she doesn't go out side for long amounts of time this is how she figured she could "lay out"!!! Silly dog. We love her lots.

And it was all MY fault...

So I just made a stunning discovery when I was doing laundry today. I washed all Roy's golf shirts and was hanging them up. As I hung the last shirt up I couldn't help but notice how many green shirts there were. Lets rewind to earlier this week when Roy woke up early and got dressed and left before I saw him. He came home and I immediately got blamed for dressing like him. I happened to be wearing a green shirt and khaki shorts just like him. Neither one of us would change. His excuse was that he got dressed first... My excuse was that I only have like 5 shirts that currently fit since I still have some baby belly going on. So we went and ran errands dressed alike. Now who should have really changed??? He has at least 35 different colored golf shirts...

When You Live in a 2 Bedroom Apartment...

and you have a lot of stuff the baby only gets a corner of a room. I was unable to finish making "Ellie's Corner" cute before she was born. I really tried the night before. Roy says that night was when I had my burst of energy. Roy worked all day so he didn't feel the same way . He didn't want to help move things around. He told me we would do it in the next day after he got off work. Well Ellie decided to come that day instead, so now a month later it looks decent enough to take a picture. (I probably could have taken the picture a few weeks ago but am now just getting around to it) It is a good mix of a baby's room and a guest room and the left overs of an office. One day she will have her own room, but for now this is what she gets. I have yet to hear her complain!

Also this is her newest toy. THE SWING. I was not going to get one of these because they take up so much space. (remember we live in a 2 bedroom apt) But soon changed my mind when all she wanted me to do was walk around the house with her in the middle of the night.

Ellie went to her 1 month check up today and saw a new doctor. We were not big fans of the last one so we changed already. It is also a much shorter drive which also helps. She weighed 9 pounds 8 ounces. She gained 2 and a half pounds in her first month. She is growing fast and I sure hope she fits into her blessing dress in a month.

4 Weeks!

Can you believe my baby is 4 weeks already. I now understand when parents say they grow up so fast. Ellie also went to church for the first time today as well. Everyone thought she was so cute and loved all her hair. She was a good baby and never really cried. Here is a picture of her in her dress.

Mom and Ellie ready for Ellie's first time at church. Dad had to go to a meeting so it's just the girls in the picture.
