My Students Learned SOMETHING!

On Monday at work I was in the lunchroom watching the kids for my duty time. One of my students raised her hand and asked me "does this make me fat?" and she held up her milk carton. I said, "not if you only drink that much. Why do you ask." So she pointed to the nutrition facts that she had been "reading" and came along a word she could sound out. Total Fat 13g. All she could understand was fat and she was worried, I thought it was cute and so all the girls around her tried to read their milk too. I thought it was funny, maybe you had to have been there.

A Few Things

Well I really never posted the pictures of when Roy and I went up and saw our new little nephew Conner. He is a cutie pie!!! Plus I am now an aunt by blood... not just married into one.
Me holding Conner!!! Apparently he likes to sleep during the day...
Roy was a little nervous to hold him. Hopefully when we have kids he will get over that!!!

Also today was Field Day at school. Remember how AWESOME I was and we tie-dyed t-shirts to match. We all looked GREAT!!! What a cute class I have. Plus we were all here today so I snapped a quick shot of them in ther green shirts.

There are only like 12 days of school left. Not to sound rude, but I can't wait. My students are checked out. I can not get them to be quiet if my life depended on it. AHHHHHHH! Thank you Michelle my school neighbor and whom I visit teach invited me to go get a pedicure with her after school today. It was much needed. Thanks!
Now I am off talk to Roy online, hang out with the dogs, watch TV and go to bed. That is my new life.

Seeing Green

Field Day is coming up next week at our school. Because I am the "perfect teacher" our class tie-dyed t-shirts to look like a team. They turned out so cute. Roy and a friend of mine came into help. You could only imagine me trying to dye 25 shirts alone... Thanks guys! I am excited to see all the kindergartners in action next Friday. They will be so cute. More pictures to come soon!

"Happy Birthday Rory"

Friday April 30th was Roy's birthday. We both had to work that day so we did most of our celebrating on Thursday. I took work off and we spent the day together running errands, eating, and we also went to the Lifehouse/Daughtry concert. We had lots of fun!
Us at the concert! So Jason from Lifehouse came off stage and wondered through the audience. He walked right past us. Roy being silly after the concert.

On Friday after I got home from work I attempted to make Roy a birthday cake. Well as you can see I don't have any skill in that area.

It doesn't even look like a birthday cake. I didn't have enough frosting or a small enough tip to write "Happy Birthday". So it is green like golf...

When Roy got home from work we went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. We love eating there. It is YUMMY! Anyway they came out to sing to him. When they asked for his name they must have heard Rory and not Roy. So throughout the whole song they sang his name wrong. It was pretty funny. Then at the end of our meal of course Roy had to make the waitress feel bad and tell her what his name really was. She felt awful. But we tipped her well so we don't feel bad about it. It will be a good memory.

Now for the next four and a half months we are the same age. Happy Birthday Roy!!!

P.S. Roy did get presents for his birthday, but he got them all before his big day and the list goes on and on... He is sooooooo Spoiled.
