I don't seem to post as often as I used to. Hmm Oh yeah it is because Ellie requires more of my time at this age. But it's okay. She is totally worth it. Christmas came and went so fast this year. I always look forward to the long break from work. This year it ended that I got 17 days off (counting the weekends) but I was so excited to get to be a mom. I usually come home, play with her for a bit, feed her, bathe her, and get her to bed. It was fun once I figured out her daytime schedule.
We went up to Utah for a couple days. We left late Thursday night after Roy's work Christmas party. We decided that would be perfect so Ellie would sleep the whole way home. This worked wonderful. Ellie slept the whole time. We got there in 5 hours and 11 minutes. But Roy on the other hand should probably not have been driving. He was so tired he was imagining he was going under imaginary over passes and ducking from them. He also could swear he saw hundreds of deer lined up on the side of the road doing the Conga. ( He is much more paranoid about deer since his incounter with the one in Park City 3 weeks after he got his new Mustang.) Anyway we did make it safe.
We spent Friday finishing up a few gifts. Christmas Eve we went to the cemetery to decorate Roy's dads headstone, and then spent the evening at my house. My Grandma Prisbrey came up to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas day with us. We woke up at Roy's house early Christmas morning to open gifts. Ellie was completely spoiled being she is Grandma Smith's first grand kid. She loved the wrapping paper, but soon realized there were objects within the paper she would be able to put into her mouth.
We then got ready for the day and headed back over to my parents house because my little brother Zach was Skyping from England. He has been out on his mission for about 14 months. It was good to see him, but he is still just goofy old Zach. We went to church with my family and then headed to Roy's house for Christmas dinner. He invited his friend Wayne over since he didn't go out of town to see his family. It was pretty fun day, and I was beat by the end.
